It‘s only 38 days till my feet start moving at Edale on my way to Kirk Yetholm.
Training hasn’t been going to plan. A few weeks ago I had to stop running for five weeks to heal an adductor strain. Then I had two lovely weeks running in the Lake District to build up the legs. Now home for a week and have done something to my right hamstring. So another few days off to try to get into mend.
It‘s frustrating to say the least. Especially today as I type, as the sun is out and the trails are beckoning.
But I'm being good and resting.
On Pennine Way prep news, some of the Wayfarer ready to eat camping food has arrived. Still more to come yet. My plan is to carry one per day to have around lunch time; and on the longer days, those 30+ miles I'll also carry a pudding with me too. I'll of course have my trusty long spork with me for food scoopage.
I'm up to £30 on my sponsorship which is very exciting. Hopefully there'll be more to come as I share this blog and the fundraising link. So that's 8.9p per mile so far, hahaha.
Simply, for the moment, it's fingers crossed for hamstring fixing.
The photo is of me a few years ago with Super G (Gabriella) who is one of the causes I'm supporting with my Pennine Way challenge..
